Your Arrival

Upon arrival at Blue Monarch, you can be prepared to let go of the things that have a negative effect on your mind, body, and spirit. These things include: substance abuse, smoking, romantic relationships, and illegal activities. You must be fully detoxed from all drugs and alcohol and be able to pass a drug test upon arrival at Blue Monarch. You are allowed 3-5 bags per family. Items in those bags include: business casual clothes, barn clothes, church clothes, important documents (such as a driver’s license, social security cards, and birth certificates), toiletries, towels, and wash cloths. Everyday you will learn new skills and experience new things through different classes, community service projects, devotionals, and counseling services. We focus not only on your sobriety, but also on your physical, mental, and emotional health, and hope to equip you with the tools to completely transform your life.

Children under the age of 9 are allowed to accompany their mother to reside at Blue Monarch. Each child residing at Blue Monarch experiences his/her own curriculum of recovery, and enrolls at the local elementary school or daycare during the school year. During the summer, the children participate in summer camps and field trips. Each child is taken for their annual check-up with a pediatrician, dentist, and other health professionals, if needed. If age appropriate, the child can go through counseling at school or at Blue Monarch, and we help the child transition to their new environment by providing tutors, mentors, and support throughout their stay at Blue Monarch. Each mother is coached by our Director of Family and Children Services on effective methods of parenting through curricula like Love & Logic, and provides tips and tools for reestablishing a bond with their child[ren]. For more information on our Proverb’s 22:6 Children’s Program, please click on the Children’s Program tab under the Apply button.

For Families of accepted residents, please feel free to use this website as a resource for you and be sure to connect to our social media pages to keep track of events happening at Blue Monarch. While your loved one is at Blue Monarch, please keep in mind that our program is designed to help women become self-sufficient and independent by teaching them tools like budgeting, needs versus wants, and other life-skills. For the first 30 days at Blue Monarch, we do not allow residents to contact family or friends other than their minor children through the phone, email, or by letter. You are welcome to write letters of encouragement, but phone calls will not be permitted until after the 30-day probationary period. After the 30-day probationary period, each resident is allowed 2 outgoing and 2 incoming calls per week for 10 minutes each.  One 12-hour pass is issued once a month. For the safety of the residents and staff of Blue Monarch, please do not disclose the physical location of Blue Monarch to friends or other family members. And mail all letters and packages to P.O. Box 1207 Monteagle, TN 37356.  Please limit the amount of care packages you send your loved one. If you have any questions, email info@bluemonarch.org.
